Location Information

VayaMzansi uses location information to provide transportation and trip-related features. This may include pick-up and drop-off locations, geograpgic coordinates, and location information required for live trip tracking.

Location information may be used to determine pick-up and drop-off points, assign and manage trips, calculate routes and estimated arrival times, display vehicle progress, and enable trip-tracking features.

During an active trip, relevant vehicle information may be made available to passengers and, where a passenger chooses to use the Trip Share feature, to recepients of a secure trip-sharing link.

VayaMzansi does not sell users' location information.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information from unauthorized access,  loss or misuse.

Data Retention and Deletion

VayaMzansi retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain transaction and trip records, comply with legal, regulatory, accounting and safety requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When personal information is no longer required for these purposes, it may be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified i n accordance with applicable law.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal information by contacting info@vayamzansi.org. Certain information may be retained where required by law, including records relating to payments, transactions, trips, disputes, fraud prevention or regulatory obligations.

Requests will be handled with applicable South African data-protection laws, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

User Rights

In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable South African laws, users may have the right to:

• Request access to,  correction of,  or deletion of personal information,  subject to applicable South African laws.

• Object to ceratin processing of personal information

• Request information about how their personal information is being processed

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to applicable legal requirements

• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of Soth Africa.
