Types of Vehicles Supported

• VayaMzansi prefers licensed vehicles with the capacity to carry 7-15 passengers;

• Vehicles must be maintained and kept clean at all times;

• Vehicles must be in good conditions in the both the interior and exterior.

Types of Drivers

Drivers with their own vehicle

Drivers who own or control a licensed vehicle can register independently on the platform, complete verification, and manage their trips and bookings.

Drivers looking for a vehicle

Qualified drivers who hold a valid South African driver's license and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) but do not currently have access to a taxi can register on VayaMzansi and join the Driver Pool.

• The Driver Pool allows operators who need drivers to discover verified drivers and connect with suitable candidates.

Types Of Operators/Fleet Owners

Operators with drivers and vehicles

Operators that own one or more vehicles can register their vehicle/fleet, add driver(s), manage trips, and receive bookings through the platform.

Operators with vehicles but no drivers

Operators that own one or more vehicles but require drivers can access the Driver Pool and recruit verified drivers registered on VayaMzansi.

Verification Documents

To help maintain safety and service quality, operators/fleet owners and drivers will be required to submit:

Driver Verification Documents

• South African ID document

• Valid Driver's License

• Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)

• Contact information

• Additional verification documents where required

NB: Drivers with their own vehicle will be further required to submit their taxi verification documents.

Taxi Verification Documents

• Vehicle Registration Document

• Roadworthy Certificate

• Insurance/Passenger Liability

• Vehicle photos

Operator/Fleet Owner Verification

• Owner's Identity Document

• Operating License

• Owner's Proof of Address

• Bank Confirmation Letter

If the vehicle/fleet is registered under a registered South African business, the following documents will be required, in addition to the above mentioned documents:

• CIPC Registeration Document

• Director/Authorized Representative's Identity Document and Proof of Address

• Business Bank Confirmation Letter

NB: Operators/Fleet owners that have their own drivers will be further required to submit their driver and taxi verification documents, while operators/fleet owners that require drivers through the Driver Pool matching system will only need to submit their taxi verification documents.

How to Register

Register as a Driver (Driver Pool included)

1. Download and open the Vayamzansi app on your phone

2. Create account by entering your email address and creating a password

3. An email verification link will be sent to your email address. Follow the link to verify your email address

4. Login with your email and password

5. Enter your details and Choose to register as a driver

6. Complete the driver verification process

7. Choose whether you have your own vehicle or you need a vehicle

8. If you have your own vehicle, you will be navigated to the taxi verification screen. If you need a vehicle, you will be entered into the Driver Pool after successful verification.

9. Submit your Driver and Taxi Verification documents.

10. It will take 24-72 hours for VayaMzansi to verify your documents

Register as an Operator/Fleet Owner

1. Download and open the Vayamzansi app on your phone

2. Create account by entering your email address and creating a password

3. An email verification link will be sent to your email address. Follow the link to verify your email address

4. Login with your email and password

5. Enter your details and Choose to register as an operator

6. Complete the Operator Verification process

7. Choose whether you have your own driver(s) or you need a driver(s)

8. If you need a driver, you will be navigated to complete the taxi verification process. If you have your own driver(s), you will be required to further complete the driver and taxi verification process.

9. Submit your verification documents.

10. It will take 24-72 hours for VayaMzansi to verify your documents
